Accessibility Information – The Boatside Inn

At The Boatside Inn, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive experience for all our guests. As a traditional country inn, some parts of the building have accessibility limitations. We aim to provide clear and honest information so guests can make an informed decision.

Parking

  • Private on-site parking is available immediately adjacent to the pub and guest accommodation.
  • Parking is available close to the main entrance and directly outside the guest rooms.
  • Surfaces include tarmac and compacted stone.

Pub and Restaurant Access

  • The main entrance has one step.
  • A portable access ramp is available and can be positioned by a member of our team whenever required.
  • The main entrance door is suitable for wheelchair access.
  • Staff are happy to provide assistance on arrival and departure.

Restaurant and Bar

  • Tables suitable for wheelchair users are available inside the pub.
  • Wheelchair-accessible tables are also available in the outdoor seating areas.
  • We are happy to reserve the most suitable table when advised at the time of booking.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome.

Accessible Toilet

  • An accessible toilet is available within the pub.
  • Grab rails are fitted to provide additional support.

Guest Accommodation

  • All guest rooms have their own private entrance, accessed from ground level.
  • Parking is available immediately outside the guest accommodation.
  • Three guest rooms are arranged entirely on the ground floor.
  • Each of these rooms has an ensuite bathroom on the same level as the bedroom.
  • There is one small step into the accommodation.
  • Selected ensuite bathrooms are fitted with grab rails for additional support.
  • Some showers may have a small step or threshold.
  • Doorways are standard width.
  • Beds are standard height.
  • Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided in the rooms.

Guests who require a room with grab rails or have specific mobility requirements are encouraged to contact us before booking so we can advise on the most suitable room.

Hearing and Visual Information

  • The pub and accommodation benefit from natural lighting during the day, with ambient lighting in the evenings.
  • Lighting levels may vary between areas.
  • Staff are happy to read menus aloud, explain facilities or provide verbal assistance where required.
