Celebrate Christmas at The Boatside this festive season, with Boatside classics given a festive and seasonal twist, traditional Christmas favourites and Nordic-inspired dishes.
Our Christmas menu is available from Wednesday 2 December to Saturday 9 January, making The Boatside a great choice for corporate Christmas parties, team lunches, festive work dinners, family Christmas celebrations and get-togethers with friends.
Whether you’re organising a relaxed Christmas lunch near Hexham, a company Christmas meal, corporate Christmas party, family gathering, Boxing Day lunch, New Year’s Eve lunch or New Year’s Day dining, we’d love to welcome you to our gastro country pub in Warden, Northumberland.
For larger groups and festive celebrations, our private dining room is available to hire free of charge, subject to availability. It’s ideal for business parties, family celebrations and group dining, so we recommend booking early to secure your preferred date.

We cater for vegetarian and vegan guests, and most of our dishes can also be adapted to be gluten-free. Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies when booking.

Lunch Menu
Sandwiches, seasonal soup, light bites and festive loaded chips, served Wednesday–Saturday, 12–5.30pm.
Starters
Seasonal starters including Boatside Finnish cured gravlax, warm Brie & cranberry bruschetta and traditional prawn cocktail.
Mains
Boatside favourites with a winter twist, including traditional roast turkey, Nordic pork & beef meatballs, featherblade of beef and our festive double cheeseburger.
Desserts
Winter favourites including sticky toffee pudding, Grandma’s blueberry bake, Christmas pudding and chocolate & orange mousse.
Sunday Lunch
On Sundays we’ll serve a separate Sunday Lunch menu, bringing together our traditional Sunday roasts with selected festive dishes from the winter menu.
Kids’ Menu
Our younger guests have their own festive menu, with familiar favourites alongside a mini roast turkey dinner, seasonal desserts and drinks — perfect for family Christmas lunches and celebrations.
